Turning Point “Residential Center” began in March of 1988 in the Woodside Facility. Woodside, formally located in Pontiac Michigan, originated in the early 1970’s as a three-story medical facility that provided treatment services for alcoholism and psychiatric disorders. In 1992, Woodside discontinued operations, however Turning Point relocated and became what is now Completion House Inc. dba Turning Point “Recovery Centers” a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Turning Point was a pioneer in Oakland County developing long-term treatment and recovery housing to help sustain gains for individuals completing short-term treatment.
